Members of our group have founded the NetBeans User Group for Serbia - NUGS. The group's main objective is to explore and share experience with NetBeans IDE and NetBeans Platform. We see the NetBeans Platform as a very productive environment for creating feature rich, modern Java desktop applications. Therefore, we want to use it for our own projects. The NUGS site is at http://nugs.wikispaces.com.

Great news for all of us - Dragan Gasevic, one of the most active members of our network, is now officially an Associate Professor. Congratulations, Dragan!
Our initiative for the Online Presence Ontology (OPO) has been mentioned in the new book "Social Semantic Web" by Breslin, Passant and Decker (page 246). This book represents and excellent overview of the domain, by the very inventors and thaught-leaders in the field. As we can see the more and more initiatives to bring Social Web sites as important sources of Web content, closer to the Semantic Web, thus enriching them and making the most out of user-generated content, we may say that the book comes at the right time. We strongly recommend this book as a valuable contributuion to the Web Science literature.
